Our day started with a visit to the Life Ed van. It was a super interesting lesson and we learned many new facts about healthy food and energy.
The outline of the lesson:
- The focus was on the body’s need for a balanced diet.
- The food pyramid and what a balanced diet is and why we need it.
- We were involved with sorting food out into the three levels of the food pyramid to help show our greater understanding of a balanced diet.
Key Messages: We need a balanced diet to give us lots of energy. Food gives us energy when we eat it.
